Business Process Off shoring in the Oil & Energy Sector
In 2009 Quintop did a study for a Dutch multinational in the Oil & Energy sector reviewing the administrative activities in the clients Corporate University. This study was initiated as a driver for operational effectiveness and cost reduction.

Through a thorough study Quintop was able to provide insight in the current ways of working behind a complex landscape of systems and processes used across the clients various business units. In the follow up Quintop benchmarked the current ways of working against industry standards. This review led to a comprehensive GAP analysis.

The results of the study led to a proposal and business case for off shoring the so called ‘Learning Administration’ activities to the client’s service centre in a low cost country. Off shoring this activity will benefit the organisation by having standardised ways of working by means of global processes and a lower operational cost as a result of labour arbitrage.
Following Quintop’s successful completion of the business case, Quintop consultants played a key role in the implementation phase providing expertise in project delivery, PMO and Project Management. The implementation of this project, currently on schedule, will be completed in the second quarter of 2010.
